Partnering with a Sarvodaya Shramadana Society means going beyond bringing solutions to a community. It means listening, learning, and working alongside the community to find solutions together. It begins by understanding the community’s voice, recognising the knowledge and resources already present within it, and bringing these strengths together for the common good.
This journey moves from Shramadana to self-reliance, and from self-reliance towards Grama Swarajya (village self-governance). When a village identifies its own needs, makes use of its own resources, and takes the lead in shaping its development, development is no longer something brought from outside. It becomes a living process that grows from within the village itself.
